examning the picture it has nowhere on top for the connector so i guess notdraksia said:So can I now take two of the dual GPU cards and SLI them to get a 4 GPU system?
a monster that will score 20,000 poitns in 3dmark?, probably not until cpus catch there asses up and stop being bottlenecksCrimandEvil said:I wonder what it's like in SLI?
devourment77 said:from what I have read, that card is already using SLI.. it is just built into the card and between the two GPUs on one card. Not an external interface.
although it would be neat if it somehow could have two and you could hook up two of these dual gpu cards

or 6800nu's even. I know we're talking about some serious heat, but I'm sure it can be done.
Looks like its time to get a vapochill

Doesn't work like that, your still using two cards each with 256 but that doesn't mean they perform like a card with 512 of memory.MeanieMan said:would two Gts on one card with 256 to share do better then 2 seperate cards with 512 total?
MeanieMan said:Heat is only the beginning.
You have to consider the amount of power flowing through the card, especially with two GTs.
Plus the ram options, would two Gts on one card with 256 to share do better then 2 seperate cards with 512 total?

^eMpTy^ said:I honestly think that nvidia's next high end card will be a dual nv41. nv41 is the 12-pipe pci-e version of the standard 6800. Put two of them together and you have a 24 pipe card. I'm guessing that nvidia will start making cards with more than one sli interface so they can get 4 cores running together. The possible combinations of sli'd cards and sli'd chips on cards is ridiculous.

Yes this is old news, but I still find it disheartening that so many people fall for PR like this. They claim its faster than a 6800U, and X850XT. Proof of this? 3Dmark.Yes they only benchmark it in one synthetic benchmark, and you can bet they used the default res of 1024x768, with no AA/AF. I seriously doubt any game with a SLI res (1600x1200) will be faster on this card, than the 6800U&X850XT, especially with AA/AF enabled.
All SLI test that I have seen show the 6800U dominating 2x6600GT's in SLI. Perhaps the solution on one card will be faster, but I will have to wait for proof of this. As it stands now, I dont believe it.
MeanieMan said:The PR I've seen so far only shows the 6600gts winning in 3dmark03. Some people take that as a "OMG THE L33T!!!11!". But thats one benchmark, and its not even the most stressing. Its a good idea for those still on CounterStrike and WC3, but the PR basicly says that 2 SLI cards are what you need for Doom 3 and Half Life 2.
While Gigabyte claims that the 3D1 will trump the performance of Radeon X850 XT Platinum Edition and the GeForce 6800 Ultra cards, it says that the card will be offered in combination with the mainboard GA-K8NXP-SLI for less money than ATI's and Nvidia's single-GPU graphics cards alone.

Having dual core doesnt mean success...it just means that the industry has failed to produce faster processors, so they slap on 2 of them to make it seem that they are still sticking to Moore's Law.. If you look at historical examples, RAGE MAXX and Voodoo5 both are considered failures by the industry
Anyone who didn't grow up on 3dfx cardsBrent_Justice said:who considers voodoo5 a failure?
To put it lightly hahaMeanieMan said:aka... n00bs?

Does it work ? if yes how much would you want for it (considering you want to sell it)R1ckCa1n said:I still have my V5 5500![]()
This card looks interesting to say the least.
Did you see the dual GPU 9700Pro ATi had? That thing was pretty interesting too for being on AGP.R1ckCa1n said:This card looks interesting to say the least.
