Hello everyone!
*My Build List at bottom*
I am going to be building my first-ever PC around early December, and would greatly appreciate some feedback/wisdom in picking my components.
1--I primarily will be using this PC for gaming. I would like to be able to run new games and future games on max settings with awesome framerates and speed. I may also be using it for web browsing, some photoshop, some movie editing, some audio programs......... but most of all for gaming!
2--My budget is pretty set on $1200, maybe reaching $1500 if I can get some outstanding improvements for the extra buck.
3--I live in SF, CA, USA
4--I will be needing CPU, GPU, MOBO, HDD, CD/DVD Burner, RAM, PSU, Case, and probably an aftermarket CPU cooler.
5--Not reusing any parts, brand spankin new
(except for peripherals)
6--I may be interested in some overclockage in the future, but I am a noob with regards to how to properly do this now (and a noob with all the available hardware)
7--I currently have a Dell 2007 wfp 20.1" UltraSharp with max resolution of 1680x1050 at 60 Hz, but may upgrade to this if I suddenly become rich: http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&sku=224-8284
8--As mentioned above, I plan on buying and building this pc in December 2011, so if there are new&improved parts that are coming out in the next few months, I am all ears.
9--As for motherboard capabilities, (again I am a noob), I may plan on Crossfire in the future, USB, Sata, Firewire may be nice, I'm not sure what RAID or eSata are all about........pretty much I would like to be able to upgrade in the future and not have an outdated MOBO any time soon.
10--Well I do have an old copy of XP
But probably the best choice would be Windows 7?
I have gone ahead and created a build out of components I have researched, but I am open to suggestions on different MOBOs, GPUs, CPUs, CPU Coolers......pretty much any suggestions to build the highest performing PC within my budget!
**I have been looking at these other video cards that are eyefinity capable, I was wondering, is it not a good idea to get an eyefinity capable card if I dont plan on doing any multi-screen gaming? Are these good GPUs? Suggestions?
