every wire and cable in the case is sleeved, except the power supply cable to the sata drives, which i will be doing as sooon as the pass thru connectors arrive

i kept the front clean - i like the way it looks

dust on the inside hasnt been too bad, at least so far. when i first got this sample, i wasnt really impressed. but as i went thru this build, it really grew on me. that little piece above the 2 side fans was taken off the back panel (got in the way of the h70 rad) but it fit perfectly in that gap. it has spots for 2x antec 2 speed fan controolers, so i put the side fan controllers in it, rather than just have them hang in space.

left side front panel open. oriented the opticals this way to keep front clean. dont use them much anyway. the way the hard drives mount is the best i have seen - 2 thick bungies with hooks on each end, and plastic bits in the middle to screw to the drives. can easily mount them all 4 directions.

i sleeved black, with a little blue to match the case. after all that sleeving, i wasnt about to hide all the cables.

close up of the h70, which is a spectacular piece of equipment. if i told you how much better this is than my old true black, you would say i was bullshitting. i put 1 of the xig blue and black fans on the pull side of the rad, because it looks more better.

top panel, back to front. you can see how easily the black plastic top panel attracts dust and cat fur. 2x xig fans mounted on top as exhaust to counter the h70 fans acting as intake.

side view, stoked up. pretty damn quiet when you consider 8x 120mm fans, a pump and the vid card fans. much quieter than my old cm sniper with 3x 200mm fans and 2x 120mm.

all in all, i am very pleased with the build. its quiet, very cool (much cooler than my last few cases, and the 6 intake fans really blow the dust right out the spaces and mesh.

Hey does it look like you can install a dual rad on the bottom side of the ceiling?
 
it might be blocked by the rear exhaust fan, unless it was on the outside. its pretty close to the top of the case.
 
So those gaps between the fans on the side panel are really open to the air? How does that affect airflow and cooling performance? Not convinced about sideways optical drives either :)

I must say that I do like the look of this case, though. Does it come in pink? :D
 
Man this case has everything I avoid when looking for a case, so I don't know why but I NEED to buy this case, it's to damn sexy....

well the case is almost always going to be at room temp. also you dont really need exhaust fans. so all that positive pressure blows out the heat and dust. no pink, but i think you would go good with the yellow.

You'd have to install it on the outside. There's not enough clearance if you were to try to install it on the inside.
 
i am getting great temps. i have an i7 950 @ 185x23, 4255. 4440mhz with turbo, ht is enabled. vcore = 1.41v. ambient (case) is 26c, vreg is 37c, and cpu at idle averages 32c across the 4 cores. after 1 hour of prime load temps ave is 74c. this is a huge difference from my cm sniper but some of it is due to my new h70. also very quiet. has 8 fans but they are all spinning slow.
 
the footses (feets?) are about 1/2" tall. i guess they could be easily swapped out if you needed it. my psu is sucking air from the bottom of the case and there is a decent amout of air exhausting from it.
 
Looks good, but in the pic the top fans are oriented intake, not exhaust. Did you change them around or let it all be positive pressure? :confused:

I say this because of the blade orientation......
 
thats sick man If I wasnt watercooling I would jump all over that case.
can we get some temps?

i changed them around because it made absolutely no difference in temps for them to be exhausting, and all the pos pressure blows the dust out.

I got mine and the right-side door hits one of the screws on the very edge of the door. The screw is located underneath the door on the main metal vertical bar. It's already removed a small piece of plastic. I just got the d*&^ thing and this happens. Not a huge deal, but I hate getting something new and something like this happens. Not sure if I should try and ignore it, replace from Newegg or contact Antec.

i am not positive what you are talking about, but there is something there so the door clicks closed, rather than swings freely. is this what you are talking about?

Naw, it's the actual screw that's is hitting the door. You can open the door a bit and it's get hung up on the screw then it will open, but then you've removed a small piece of plastic from the door. I have a support question in with Antec.

Are you talking about the vertical bar at the front of the case? There are three screws going through that bar that hold in the 5.25" drive mounting rails. There is very little clearance between those screws and the door as it is swinging, so I see how there might be interference in your case. Have you tried tightening the screws?

Thanks for the offer Antec_Jessie. I spoke with someone at Antec and the dev team has determined that yes the screw can hit the door when opening it. I think they'll have to re-assess what screw they are using. I decided to send back to Newegg and try another even though shipping is ridiculous. Hope NE will pay for some of the shipping.

bloop, I like the R.A.T. 7 alot. I've had no real issue with the sensor since I don't pick up the mouse to often.

bloop also how do you have your PSU mounted? Fan up or down?
 
i have it with the fan down. the bottom is a wide mesh, and the case is around an inch off the deck. also i worry about crap falling into the fan if its mounted fan up.
 
yes, and it gets isolated from the case this way also.intakes from outside the case to exhaust outside the case.
 
Very nice clean build, impressive. What kinds of speeds are you getting with your Callisto DX? I'm tempted to order a pair for my desktop but am currently having issues with one in my laptop, so wanted to see how yours was fairing after some use.
