Finally, some overclocking going on.

Ok, these aren't as impressive as the new 64bit rage. But I've finally fixed my issues with my PC, and then overclocking.

PC Specs:

AMD Athlon XP 2600-Mobile
ASUS A7N8X Deluxe Rev. 2.0
1GB of Samsung PC3200 ram
Seagate 120GB SATA drive
Ati Radeon 9800 Pro AIW

I'm at 2.4ghrz 12x200 FSB idleing at 38-40c
Zalman CNPS7000A-AlCu at 2700 RPM
At load I'm only about 2c above idleing

Finally after all that work to get everything straightened out. I'm pleased with it.

I'm shocked to be honest. I guess I didn't get a "bad chip" like I was thinking before. It was just a problem with the motherboard I was using. Dual Channel somehow got messed up on it and it was causing errors.

I could push this thing some more but I think I'll hold off until I look into some better cooling that are still quiet.

What kind of thermal paste are you using?

I'm just wondering because 2C above idle on load is fairly remarkable on air.

/edit

also, what VCore are you running that CPU at?

Arctic Silver 5

And the VCore is 1.65 at the moment. She's running stable and fast.
