Filtering Power Supply for Noise

I have Creative 2.1 speakers that run on 12V with a brick power supply. I want to power the speakers from the external aux molex connector on the back of my Antec True 430 PSU. That way they will shut off with the PC and also eliminate the brick.

The problem is that with the speakers powered up by the external PSU connector, when ever I start a game that uses the VPU from my 9700-pro, the speakers play a bunch of "electronic" noise.

Is there something that I could stick inline with the wires on the power cable to help with this or am I out of luck trying to get this to work?
