i need to burn some wordpad files to a cd but i dont have any burning software. i am on windows xp, is there a shortcut or a free program i can download to do this to take it to school.
 
You can download the Nero trial.

If it's only a wordpad file, I'd suggest just gmailing them to yourself and save a CD.
Https://mail.google.com gets past every block I've came encounter with.
If you need a gmail account, I'd be happy to supply you with an invite, PM me.
 
AFAIK winxp has cd-burning utility built in, so you only insert a blank disk, right click the files -> send to -> cdrw unit and hit burn

Stick the blank cd in there, open my computer, open the burner with the blank cd, drag the files you want into that window and on the left side click "burn".
