The Final Fantasy XIV benchmark has been released.

Download it here:
http://www.finalfantasyxiv.com/media/benchmark/na/

Run the benchmark and post your results!

Be sure to include your CPU / GPU / RAM / Storage, if not included in your signature. If OC'd post those spec, too.

UPDATE: Specify 1080p or 720p, please! People posting partial screenshots ran at 1080p, while people with full screen caps or smaller screen caps likely ran the 720p.

I am disappointed. I expected a higher score. I am running the latest NVIDIA 3D driver version 1.29 which include their 257.21 driver. I don't suspect the 3D driver is hurting performance since the benchmark runs windowed... meaning no 3D.

(I didn't wanna bother taking a screenshot and all that)

I've redone the bench in 720p. For some reason, when my card was OC'd (which I leave 24/7), my entire computer would shut down every time I launched the benchmark. I had to return it to stock clocks. Strange, since I can run the 1080p bench w/o a problem.

1080p

2 x GTX 480 SLI @ 810/2116, core i7 @ 3.6ghz, 12GB DDR3 1600 @ 8-8-8-24, 3x X25-M 80GB RAID0

257.21 drivers

Score: 4553

SLI wasn't working, though, but at least the score lines up pretty well some of your peoples'

I'm getting roughly 2700 @ 1080p
720BE @ 3.5GHz
XFX 5770
4GB DDR2

Still seems silky smooth though.

im gunna run the benchmark even though i know my computer doesnt really run it well.. played a bit of the beta

Here's what the scores mean:

[8000 and over] Extremely High Performance
Easily capable of running the game on the highest settings.

[5500–7999] Very High Performance
Easily capable of running the game. Should perform exceptionally well, even at higher resolutions.

[4500-5499] High Performance
Easily capable of running the game. Should perform well, even at higher resolutions.

[3000-4499] Fairly High Performance
Capable of running the game on default settings. Consider switching to a higher resolution depending on performance.

[2500-2999] Standard Performance
Capable of running the game on default settings.

[2000-2499] Slightly Low Performance
Capable of running the game, but may experience some slowdown. Adjust settings to improve performance.

[1500-1999] Low Performance
Capable of running the game, but will experience considerable slowdown. Adjusting settings is unlikely to improve performance.

[Under 1500] Insufficient Performance
Does not meet specifications for running the game.

i dont know how much i trust a benchmark that needs to be downloaded off nvidias website lol.

Gee I wonder if the scores are slanted maybe?

2207 with my mid range rig.

Q9400 @ 3.2ghz
ATI 4870 512mb
4gb DDR2 1066

Ran it at 1080 even though my screen isnt that big. I will see if I get a better score at the lower setting.

Probably could get higher if i turned off a lot of crap, and restarted but meh.

6GB G.Skill PI DDR3 1600 7-7-7-24, 2x1TB Samsung Spinpoint F3's.

1080p

Odd. Tried to run it but the benchmark crashes as soon as it's about to start.

Could it be my 10.2 drivers? Meh, I'm too lazy to upgrade just to try it out.

I want to see some mid/entry level systems run the bench. Especially If it scales with 2/4 cores.

ran it with my brothers rig.

AMD Athlon x3 435 stock
Hd4830 512mb stock

got the score of ~2400 with 720p
didnt bother with 1080p

what the christ. i got 4200 on my system @ 720p, it was 60+ fps for 95% of the benchmark.

probably need sli / crossfire to hit 8000.

Q9550 at 3.2GHz, GT 240, 4GB ram synch w cpu at 400MHz. Loaded from a 1TB Samsung F3. Win 7 64 bit

Score: 1088, Load time: 11932 (1080)
Score: 2088, Load time: 11020 (720)

Specs in sig. Ran the 720p version and got 2020.
I'm pretty sure my CPU is holding me back. I got a slightly lower score with dual monitors (~1990). Benchmark looked great and didn't lag at all which is somewhat reassuring.

Went back to try with stock settings (1055 @2.8, 5850 @725/100)
Full 1080

Ran it for shits and giggles on my laptop in sig. Maybe someone will find the results useful.

720p: 1011
1080p: 505

I think Square Enix is being conservative with their scale. 720p ran fairly smoothly and I imagine that if the resolution was dropped further, it would be consistently playable. Maybe Squenix just needs to show why my laptop won't handle the full game better (FPS counters, anyone?).

Score: 2913

Okay I decided to just go and install the 10.5 drivers. Bench ran without a hitch.

Rig in sig, except the 5870 @ 900/1250:

720p: 5570 (26432ms)
1080p: 4755 (24678ms)

EDIT: New scores as of 10/1 (GPU at 950/1300):
720p: 6546
1080p: 5320

And for kicks, the HTPC in my sig, onboard @ 625 (stock = 500), 940BE @ 3.4ghz

720p: 380 (36585ms)
1080p: 186 (43100ms)

Hopefully Nvidia will release a driver update for you folks that boosts the performance of the GTX 4xx series in this game. (not that they are performing badly in the least in actual framerate.. )

It's looking like they aren't living up to their potential, despite the nvidia branding on the game.
