.. I decided to make it look nicer since I had been rocking a plain old antec case for the longest time :eek:

started out like this:
the pics don't show it well but it was kinda gray-brown

moved my SATA drives to a 2 5.25-> 3 3.5 backplane
the dust crap is because I was sanding down the edges of the plexi window before mounting it...

Krylon Fusion, bonds to plastic with no priming or sanding :D
 
Looks really good, I have a Ferrari sticker on my computer also. Now if you cleaned those wires it would really be banging! ;)

yeah.. I'll have to run out and get myself a toolkit for the molex plugs and some black mesh sleeves

I wanted to get some right angle SATA plugs but decided against it because since the ones on my mobo are right beside each other I would be able to do 2 but not the other 2 plugs because of overlapping... :(


anyone know if they make 45deg plugs or is that too much to hope for :eek:
 
PPG paint huh :) Is it good stuff? My girfriend's dad is a rep for the paint section of that company, and I've always been curious.
 
PPG basecoat and PPG clear? That DCU 2021 stuff is pretty awesome. Why not do the front bezel in PPG too?

I also edited the title to reflect this being a gallery thread and not a regular case modding thread.

yes, base and clear

the bezel i just did in krylon because I've used it before and it's so easy and I've gotten good with the spray can ... yes I could do it in PPG but then I'd have to sand it, use plastic primer and then paint it


I took the easy way out :eek:
 
Now all you need is the Acer Ferrari F-20 Monitor to go with it!

not quite.. I already have a 21" LCD


but if they make a 24" to compete with the dell 2405/7 FPW any time soon I'm in!!!! :D

not the time or place for it but... ferrari > lambo ONLY in prestige and respect ;) lambo has them beat COMPLETELY for crazyness. ferraris are supercars for lazy people ;) nice cars, but too easy to drive (unless you're talking enzo/599. those deserve credit :p )

Nice paint job :D Lambo yellow with the bull and id love it :D
 
i like the big-ol lazy V8s only found in a ford GT-40 :D.

Anyways, looks good! keep up the good work :)
