Quad Octocore Xeons @2GHz, currently getting a TPF of 10:04 on a 6901

Also: The 2600K looks like it is settling in somewhere between 4.5 and 4.6 GHz and should be folding starting tomorrow if it passes stability testing overnight. The Noctua NH-D14 is a beast, wow.
wow

Nice, any pics??

not much to see,
the quad octocore system is just a dell server
the i7 2600k is folding its first unit right now, running win smp2, doing oneunit right now, if it runs successful I plan to reload with linux tomorrow and let it loose.

That is crazy HSF for such a low watt proc. (compared to a OC-ed i7 920/970)

I did not expect a stock heatsink like this to come with an i7 970, cool.

Kendrak, I ramp in you general direction.

So I have to add a 970 that I'm up against.......

I keep waiting for your ppd to lvl out so I can get an idea of things.... it isn't going to lvl out anytime soon is it :p

The Gulftowns finally come with the factory cooler that Intel should have been shipping all along with their stuff. It is a very nice cooler, although I hear that it gets super loud when you flip the switch to the performance setting.

among other things not yet mentioned :)

The real challenge for me is going to be how long I can keep this up. I am aiming to best your PPD but don't how long I will be able to maintain things.

They actully cool pretty well. I put mine on a 950 @ 3.6 and it keeps up. They are fairly loud at the performance setting, although nothing terrible. They are actually pretty loud at the quiet setting IMO.

So it is comes down to the person's house that bursts into flames during the summer loses?

When I bought my 980x I went straight to the NH-D14 cooler and never even gave installing the stock cooler a thought. The Noctua is sure a big hunk of metal alongside the stock HSF.

Still only running 3 GPUs but I did add some more SMP goodness. Cranked up the 970 doing standard SMP on Friday afternoon, but wont get to overclock it until Tuesday or Wednesday probably. Will switch it over to bigadv once I get a solid OC on it.

edit: just noticed that you aren't on my threat list at the moment, well how bout that

On of the SR-2s just picked up a 6966. 1:13 TPF

Due to storms, had an extended power outage last night (from around 10:30p to 7:15a). Its gonna take a while to get everything cranking again.

Well, it might put a dent in your points, but you are rocking it [H]ard.

I read that to say, "it might put a dent in your pants....."
then the rest

good times

Seems that the yellow caution flag has been waved.
