I need a new computer as i been using this one for the past 3 1/2 years running 24/7.

1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
It will be for everything from gaming (sc2, cod, crysis, need for speed), to watching movies and working on it. Just like last computer this computer will stay on probably 24/7 all the time.

2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
-i would say up to 1200 with tax, if i can stay around 1000 then its better.

3) Where do you live?
Canada

4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.
cpu, mobo, ram, videocard, case, psu, heatsink, (maybe ssd if i have spare money or if its worth it).

5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.
Yes, 2 1tb hard drives, i am not sure if i will get an ssd or just another harddrive for OS

6) Will you be overclocking?
Considering i will be running the computer 24/7 i am not sure if it is a good idea, i prefer that everything stays stable and doesnt give me issues

7) What size monitor do you have and/or plan to have?
I have a 20' wide right now

8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
maximum 2 weeks, starting today

9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? etc.
I am not sure if i will use Crossfire or SLI, i always had only 1 video card, usb3.0 would be nice but not needed

10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS? 32bit or 64bit?
I have xp32, vista 32/64, win7 32/64. I am not sure with OS to use yet.

I did a little research past few days catching up and i came up with this so far, feel free to adjust everything if needed. I can't decide if i want to go with i5 or i7 and i can't decide if i should go with the new radeon 6xxx cards or nvidia price drop ones, i am also not sure if i should get 8gb of ram or keep 4.

This is my "first" draft of what i had in mind after looking around.

Intel Core i5 750 -210$
ASUS P7P55D-E LX -120$
ASUS Radeon HD 6850 -220$
CORSAIR XMS3 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM
DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Model CMX4GX3M2A1600C9 - 90$
Silverstone Fortress FT02B ATX Black Aluminum Case -245$
Corsair CMPSU-750TX 750W - 105$

total - 990$

(this doesn't include an ssd drive because i am not sure if i should get one or not and a heatsink).

thank you for the help and feedback :)

just a heads up, that drive is $40 more CAD (240 with shipping at newegg.ca as compared to the 200 free shipping at newegg.com)

otherwise a nice selection

Check out .n.c.i.x. They have a 5.99 shipping sale on right now, and you can pricematch ANY canadian online retailer. Newegg.ca is great, but they often ship directly from their California warehouse, and thus have a high shipping cost.

I typically use pricebat to check for the cheapest deal.

there is a few things still in my mind but i do plan to order everything by friday or buy it locally if i can pricematch but one thing is the case, i feel 250$ is quite a lot, any suggestion for a good quiet case? i have the p180 right now and from time to time it starts humming and buzzing and it is kinda annoying.

For a quiet gaming PC, the three common recommendations are the P183, Silverstone Raven, and the Silverstone FT02.

However these cases are quieter than most other cases but not as quiet as three above cases. Then again, they are significantly cheaper:
$105 - Fractal Design Define R3 Black ATX Case (Fill in the ++++ with "N C I X" without the spaces)
$105 - Fractal Design Define R3 Titanium ATX Case (Fill in the ++++ with "N C I X" without the spaces)
$105 - Fractal Design Define R3 Silver ATX Case (Fill in the ++++ with "N C I X" without the spaces)
