Running a poll on this on a few other forums and thought it would be neat to gte more results.

What is your favorite case fan light color?

On the other polls we offered Red, Blue, Green, other and none for the choices...

I'd go with none at all, sometimes white looks alright but other than that I think it looks cheesy most of the time.

I like white LEDs and cathodes. It gives it a kind of "shadowbox" or museum quality look. But I'm a fan of the more subtle/refined designs usually.

Depends on the theme of my case.

If all the components are red, then I go with a dull dark red ambiance.

Blue components, bright white.

I don't tend to use blue or green LEDs much because it washes out colors.

I'd like negative LEDs that, when turned on, make it impossible to see inside an open case--even in direct sunlight.

None or White. I use to use blue LEDs, but got rid of'em and use none now, But black w/ white would be nice IMO.

I was under the impression that blue would be popular. It seems to be the norm for standard LED case fans that come with the case. Guess not, though!

I'm building a new system with an Antec 300 in a few weeks, might give white a try...are there any fans out that there allow you turn the LED on/off?

White or red. White contrasts well with black cases, and red is just an awesome color. I'd really love something red/white though.

There is usually no purple anything so purple. But id want xrays! or something deadly. yeah gamma radiation color. (purple and green = complimentary!)

I prefer rainbow-colored cases with chrome trim, various gold and silver knobs and gadgets that don't do anything, disco balls hanging from the top of the case, flashing multi-color LEDs, and multiple 5¼" bay digital displays that cycle between showing fan RPMs, system temps, various witty phrases in l337 or binary, the current value of the lottery, and the current value of OCZ stock. Oh, and lots of stickers. Can't get enough of those.

Okay, okay, I say no bling. Simple, function-oriented, clean designs are timeless and look as good ten years later as they did new. This is why I wear white T-shirts.

I personally love white LEDs, unconditionally.

However, I also do like blue LEDs, but that's conditional. When I buy blue LED fans, I tape off the LEDs, and paint the fan completely black, as they usually come clear. What this does is stop the obnoxious sea of blue in a case, and makes the LEDs themselves stand out, because they're on a black backdrop, that backdrop being the fan. This is a bit more tasteful, and accents the components of the case, like a spotlight, rather than an obnoxious sea of blue.

I also love green LEDs too, because they're mostly unused. Red just kinda hurts my eyes.

Nothing like good ol' all black. Call me boring, but nothing like a unified look. As demonstrated by Guru3D's very nice June Rig of the Month:

In a close second would a be tie between red or white.

I like the look of red in an all black interior case. Blue used to look ok but now its everywere and I am getting tired of it. The thing is, for me a little for accent is ok like some of the Lian Li cases that have a lighted fan or two. But after that its not for me. I do like seeing the worklogs though and a lot of the cases that are all decked out look great, but not something for my living room.

See, I like the black color scheme, has that bad-ass but pretty at the same time feel to it.

...but it's boring. Needs some "spicing" up. Maybe throw in a secondary color if that were mine, like a white.

That's just me though, because I had my machine all black, then I tried a two tone, that was still a bit boring. The I tried 3-tone and I been liking it a lot. Lot's of contrast and a lot of things to look at. Seems "lively".

None, can't stand LEDs in a computer case. I've cut the wires to the LEDs on some fans to get rid of them.

If I have to have LEDs, then probably blue, or maybe something like Xigmatek's fans with orange blades and white LEDs.
