dunno if this makes a difference but i orderd it from newegg think i got a crapper board?
maybe they'll help me out?

Howdy,

It's tricky if you've never installed notebook memory before.

Place the chip in at a 45-degree angle, so that it's not laying flat along the motherboard, but rather, coming up out of it at an angle (again, 45-degrees).

Now, here, even though I knew how to do it, I was a bit nervous, because it took a bit of force and wiggling to press the gold teeth into the slot. But, you need push the card into the slot until the gold teeth are clearly inserted where they need to go. Then, you press the card down flat against the motherboard where the retension mechanism grabs it.

I take no responsiblity if you break something! :D

Good Luck!

Edit: link to a laptop memory tutorial (helpful)

P.S. How is the sound card not going in right?

it doesn't line up with the case mounts nor do any of the other slots dunno if its the case cuz the mobo studs line up great maybe the mobo rack is warped or bent

This often happens. But you can usually bend the back panel of your case. Though you should probably do this before the mother board is mounted.

I once braced my back against the wall, and used by foot to bend the back panel of my case inwards slightly so that it would mate better with the motherboard.

Did you get the SLI selector in?

H

no i didn't try it again i'll prolly give it another shot today...but i did try the board in an old case and it does line up and i also tried 2 old motherboards i had in my new case they both line up fine ?strange?

The selector card went in easier on the Abit than on the MSI Neo4 Plat I used to have. Just be glad you don't have one of those ;).

I know I've really enjoyed mine (non-Fatal1ty though). It's been rock solid for me :D. I hope your experiences are the same ;).
