Does Far Cry 2 for PC have a built in cooperative campaign mode, or will I have to wait for a shitty mod?

You've obviously never tried that DooM3 and Half Life 2 coop mods, they're fairly large overhauls of the games, and they both work extremely well.I don't blame the modders for mods being "shitty". I blame the asshole who decided that games don't need a coop campaign. The facts are though that most games in which a coop campaign mode was added via a mod instead of being built into the game are glitchy an borderline unplayable. Coop campaigns should be standard IMHO.

Are you referring to Synergy for HL2? I found it is very fun, only issue I had was being able to play maps from the actual game... Though Synergy's maps work fine... Been a while since I've played it so maybe it works now...
Even though FC2 has a lot of shortcomings, a co-op mod would be total fun and make up for some of them, IMO...
Try obsidian conflict. It's coop for hl2 through episode 2.
