So no mention about mods...interesting. I like how you can build ANYWHERE on the map thats a huge plus. Dedicated servers? Can you rent them or host your own?.....A lot of questions still, but I am semi interested.
pre-order
BTW, did anyone get in on the pre-order for the Power Armor Edition?

I 100% agree, the only reason I'm doing it is because of the physical items. I think that should be the only exception. Of course they are giving out beta access based on preorders so there are going to be a ton because of that. No, bad!
No, bad!
You scour "Fallout 76 griefing" and pretty quick you get the idea there's some potentially serious problems going into this unless they make some changes.
Many a true nerd on youtube did his take on everything that we knew from E3, and I think I'll have to agree with him when he says this griefing thing is getting blown out of proportion. He makes some really valid points such as:
We're talking dozens of people on a map four times the size of Fallout 4. How often are you really going to see someone?
I'm kind of interested, but I'd like to see gameplay from B.E.T.A first. If it's always online I also want to see what the experience of playing solo is like, first. You pre-order Kyle? I am on the fence still.
I still don't know what the hell fallout 76 is. I love the basic formula. Is this a MMO? Is this 4 person coop? Does it run on servers? Are there PvP & COOP servers? Way too early for a preorder.
I really don't know how I feel about this game. Todd just did an interview that it is online only and that there are no human NPCs. He said basically instead of running into a group of raiders you'll be running into a group of real people. He also confirmed that there will be no mods at the start, but they will be added to make it like "your own private world that you can mod." I guess that means either offline or private servers. I'm worried that they're going to somehow limit it to creation club crap.
There are still a lot of unknowns. That being said, I have the collectors edition pre-ordered. I want the power armor. I just hope the game ends up being fun and I can get my money's worth.

Don't mean to be a dick but the video is a rehash of what has already been seen from previous videos. Nothing new.
I don't need the ability to have console shits running around in my game. Each platform will have a decently large playerbase so this crossplay nonsense seems like the gaming blogs trying to make a big deal about nothing. So, apparently Todd Howard has said that this game will not have crossplay. He referred to Sony making it difficult as the reason. I think this would have been a good feature for a co-op type game as this appears to be. Too bad.
Yeah honestly, I'd rather not have cross platform take off. It will kill off what few PC oriented MP games we have left. Shooting mechanics and whatnot will have to be designed around loose, inaccurate controller abilities. And I hate FPS games with TF2 style shooting.
I know it works okay for some games and may be okay for Fallout 76, but unfortunately the industry doesn't work with exceptions. Anything to save a few cents and make an extra buck or two, players and experience be damned. It is all or nothing. I wouldn't mind a controller based game like Sonic All Star Racers (aka Mario Kart on PC) having cross platform, but shudder to think what Battlefield would be like. If that means preventing big titles like Fallout 76 from being cross platform, so be it. I'm glad Sony is making is a pain in the ass just for these reasons.
