A couple of days ago Kyle posted news of a possible stalker using internal Facebook tools to stalk women. Facebook didn't wait too long to get rid of this guy in this updated story and he's on the outside looking in. Of course he's not really bright since he basically told one of his victims that he was a professional stalker looking for hackers. However, what he didn't realize is she was a cybersecurity expert and she dropped a dime on him to Facebook right away. Well done! On the bright side of the news Facebook is getting ready to launch their own dating service and you know there won't be any stalkers there.

"It's why we have strict policy controls and technical restrictions so employees only access the data they need to do their jobs - for example to fix bugs, manage customer support issues or respond to valid legal requests. Employees who abuse these controls will be fired."

Ok,...my head hurts. A company with the ethical standards of a politician firing someone with questionable ethical standards......okay.

I mean,...fire the bad guy,..but how do you fire the entire company then?

That is not going to happen. The "numpty" is strong in FB users.

I don't get it, I mean, he was using their tools to do the stalking - It's why we have strict policy controls and technical restrictions so employees only access the data they need to do their jobs, why was he able to stalk people at all, when he should only be allowed to have used these tools the way he was supposed to use them, its a seriously security issue. They need to look at how these tools can be restricted more security wise so the tools don't allow this kind of abuse. Like protect actual contact information, or actual names of people...so idiots like this can't abuse the system to contact people for nefarious purposes.

And how stupid can you be to contact a cybersecurity expert, I mean, really didn't he research who he was stalking, rather than just randomly contacting women?? lol

I'd say in most US cities it's nigh-on impossible these days. :D

It like the British terms "Shopping" someone or "Grassing up" someone more than "Diming" anyway.
