Not a huge difference for once. They made her evil, but her face structure is pretty much the same, and they didn't give her a butt chin.
Definitely better than the uggo for the main character, and they didn't make her old and ugly like Laundry from gow.

Still won't pick it up myself, I'll stick with the original.

It's the eyes and brow that are wrong and give the scan a masculine look.
Meh, it's not Fable if it doesn't have the morality system from the originals. Just another generic, agenda pushing fantasy game.
Yeah, I am so tired of modern writing insisting on there being no possibility for absolute evil. It all has to be morally grey.

Haven't really been following lately so forgive me if this is a dumb question...have they replaced the ugly main character shown in earlier videos with this Isabel?

she's the villain...I guess they wanted to give the pretty girl her own showcase ;)

Playground is firm on one distinction: Fable is a fairytale, not a fantasy epic...that means no dense political intrigue or multi-layered lore dumps...instead, the studio is promising an open world where you can go anywhere in Albion from the start — no level-gating — backed by a deep reputation system that shapes how the world responds to your choices

the trailer saves its biggest moment for last: a brief glimpse of Jack of Blades, the masked antagonist who headlined the original 2004 Fable...it's his first mainline appearance since Fable II

I mean it changed practically nothing in practice, as much as I agree it is quintessentially Fable

You can literally massacre other students in the heroes guild and walk into every town sucking everyone's souls down to the darkest layers of hell. Pretty much doesn't matter as far as the story is concerned.

Which, I mean, they kind of wrote themselves into a corner and just hand wave it because the story would be over in 5 seconds if your character actually did the shit you can do, because it makes no sense in the context of the plot.

The game looks... fine for what it is so far, but the lip syncing and facial animation is so bad during gameplay.

I feel like there's literally software and equipment at this point that easily and cheaply does this capture. It's even baked into Unreal - Epic has literally showcased it.

I hope it's just placeholder.

Can we really not make conversations look less fucking shit. I don't mean they even need to go full Rockstar and mocap literally every interaction, but really they can't do better at this point?

You’ll also receive three of each of the following in‑game Gifts: Queen’s Bouquets, Bags of Offal, and Decadent Gold Leaf Bread—items that can be gifted to Albion’s living population to provoke admiration, disgust, or something romantically complicated.

Fable: Order of the Hero
Write the next chapter of your legend in Fable: Order of the Hero, a story‑driven expansion (coming post-launch) that draws you into the secrets of a dark, ancient cult hidden deep within the perilous beauty of Albion.

I have no reason to purchase the Deluxe edition it doesn't fall on my days off.

I haven't ever played a Fable game and im wondering if i should finally do this one. What is the gameplay loop like? I have been eyeing up Gothic Remake and I am a huge Classic 3D Zelda fan. Any overlap from those games?

Classic Fable was a true open world Action adventure game where you could pretty much go anywhere and do anything from the start (after the intro). Zelda and Gothic still tried to present a linear narrative, so they were restrained by that. There are more RPG elements than Zelda, but your character progress is through what you do and how much you do it more like Skyrim versus a more traditional Experience system. I kind of got lost on what to do in the first game with how much freedom you're given, to be honest.

I mean, I wouldn't really call it a true open world by any stretch.

It's almost hub based, everything is broken into zones and there are swaths gated by how far you are in the game.

I'd say it's a far cry from how Skyrim handles it. Not even in the same universe. It's a much, much more railroaded affair.

Only game I have pre-ordered there are some others I want but release dates are in limbo. 2027 is pretty far away I'll just hold my breath and time travel.
