FAA Investigating Teen That Made The Gun-Firing Drone

What the fuck are you even talking about?

Gee I don't know, maybe the countless times I've heard/read posts of self identifying liberals wishing death upon gun owners, and how all guns owners deserve to die a painful death, etc. So I can hold myself in higher regard, as I have and would never wish that on anyone I disagreed with. Even if they do support things like destroying the constitution, warrantless searches, the end of privacy, or calling the people who created our constitution "idiots".

I personally haven't seen any other "side" or political group spew hate like that, behind all the good things they claim to be for. Sounds like some pretty unstable people. And I hear plenty of crap said here by people representing the same ideals, I wouldn't be surprised if some of them were just as unstable.

It's easier to be a milder and more peaceful sounding guy when you know you can kill the other party in a couple seconds. Just sayin'.

I'm sorry, I don't have murderous tendencies when I am around firearms. If you feel like you may kill someone if you buy a firearm then PLEASE DONT

It's easy to be mild and peaceful around everyone if I'm carrying or not carrying.

Oh boo fucking hoo at your "freedoms" of making unmanned vehicle that remotely fired guns might be infringed in the future.

It won't be infringed. There is literally no way of making it inaccessible wile still permitting remotely controlled anything. Heck, you can't even raise the bar of technological savvy needed to make it by much.

Zip guns are easy to make. Something repeating a bit more so. The only thing you will get out of trying to regulate it is trying to make it impermissible to know things, which always works out well.

I'm wondering why nobody lost their shit when someone did this with an RC helicopter many, many years ago. We just didn't call remote control toys drones at that point because society wasn't quite as full of bullshit as it is today.

But a summary of this investigation.

Unless the gun was purchased illegally, ATF can go scratch.
Unless it was discharged someplace with a no discharge law, the cops can go scratch.
Unless the vehicle was operated at an impermissible altitude (it wasn't), or piloted outside the visual range of the operator (unlikely), the FAA can go scratch.

Everything run by the government is done via a manual. If you want to beat any system... read the stupid manual! It really is that easy. They have no idea how to operate outside of their 'handbook'. They also ALWAYS react to stimuli directed by their 'manual' and 'training'.

No, it's the same guy who made the drone flamethrower, drone gun and now he got caught with child porn on his phone.

If there are no laws against discharging a firearm in the park then it is difficult to understand the FAA's involvement. Obviously, this thing wasn't even ten feet off the ground which--sorry FAA--doesn't qualify as commercial airspace under your jurisdiction--otherwise, balsa-wood gliders and board darts & a host of other gadgets would have to be FAA-regulated. Sounds like some loony Democrat Congressman called someone in the FAA and and asked them to investigate this citizen. More overbearing BS from the Obama administration...! Incredible overreaction, as usual. Those Democrats are scared of their own shadows. But, hey--you never hear them pushing to disarm the government, do you? Oh, no--just law-abiding citizens, mainly. And they sure don't want to toss out the gun-shooting illegals! This is by far the most ignorant, stupid federal government I've ever seen.

Some problems with your facts.

One, The FAA has no jurisdiction over parks, that would be Parks and Wildlife or whoever for the State of Connecticut.

Two, The FAA does have authority over all airspace right down to ground level.
Busting Myths about the FAA and Unmanned Aircraft

Not only that, the FAA doesn't just control airspace they have authority over the safe operation of aircraft period, including UAS systems or drones.

Now I am not coming down on this one way or the other at the moment so don't go making assumptions, I am just challenging your stated facts.
