F@home Console help CPU only 50%

I'm running the console verson 5.04 on a P4 3.0 ghz with 1gig ram and the cpu only goes to 50 percent while the machine has hyperthreading so I'm not sure if that makes a difference. Any ideas why it dont use 100 CPU? thanks Guys
 
With Hyperthreading on, it'll only show 50% usage, but it's actually using 100%.
 
That's perfectly normal, you will see 50% but it's actually 100%. Windows see it as 2 cores while it's actually just 1.

 
Run two clients, it'll up your ppd atleast 10%. But it'll take you longer to return WUs.

Actually, in my testing I have found that when you run 2 clients with hyperthreading and both work units use SSE it actually slows both down to the point where you get less PPD.

Generally speaking, it's better to run a single client on hyperthreaded systems. I'm a points whore and I only run one instance on my hyperthreaded P4 at work.

 
Thanks for the quick reply guys, I only got a p4 folding now but when I get to build my new quad core it will be folding in 30 days time. Cheers everyone
