when i start up F@HMon i get 2 pop ups one of them says i cannot connect to a server and the other is something about downloading, and i don't see what my PPU is anymore?

i tried to reload the client but it still does it, it shows the progress of the current WU but not the PPD

There has been new protien released into the wild.
Your copy of FahMon needs to cotact Stanford to find out what has been released, but it cannot.
Thats what its complaining about.

You need to download new projects from Stanford.
Check in your preferences -> Advanced that your pointing at http://fah-web.stanford.edu/psummary.html.
If you are then retry to download the data.

Luck ............ :D

The first popup, if it's when you first start the program, is more than likely the program's own updater to see if there is a newer version of Fahmon. I've seen this before and I just disabled the automatically check for new versions.

The second popup has to do with needing to download new protein information as you have received a work unit that was not in the local work unit database for Fahmon. That should work correctly and after the work unit has gone through a few frames it should show your PPD again.
