-advmethods tells your client that you are willing to run public beta work units. These are new work units that have gone through private beta testing and need more testing from a wider audience before getting released to all users. They may or may not be stable but we really haven't seen any bad work units in a long time. It's up to you whether you want to take the risk or not.for my gpu what is the add -advmethods checkbox do? should i have this checked
465gtx modded to 470gtx?
6800 was released to the general public a long time ago, November 15th to be exact. 6811 is still in -advmethods however.in your case it allows you to run the 6800 and 6811 WU's.
any more ppd? and what exaclty is ppd lol.
The PPD reported by hardfolding.com isn't updated during every stats update, PPD is only calculated once a day on hardfolding. You may also want to use the statistics at http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/why does my FAH GPU tracer v2 say im estimated about 17,000 ppd but on the hardfolding site im really only 3kppd. my system is folding 24/7

GPU Tracker is live PPD reporting.
The ppd field in both EOC and hardfolding is more like an average of your ppd over the last few weeks. It takes a while for it to ramp up; as long as your daily points are being updated correctly, you're fine.thats fine hardfolding was showing i was still at 2-3k ppd.
I don't think you want to start this discussionso how did evga over takes us on the folding front??
Do you have a link to a specific thread? I started folding after all that had subsided.
I'm going to flag my 470 client as well, we'll see how this goes.

I just want to join the [H] top 1000
jknice to have you all on the team, I'll take my revenge when socket 2011 and GTX 680 comes out.

You just have to complete 10 SMP units (any mix of units, not all the same one) with your passkey to get the bonus. If you're getting more points for a WU than the specified point value, then you're getting a bonus.

Filter, the client is likely projecting what you will score when bonus points are brought into account but you aren't actually earning them until you complete 10 SMP units.
so the ppd that it reports is when i start getting bonus points. man i wish i would of did this switch a long time ago.
for having over 3,000 wu done i got a pretty low score.
Are you running the GPU3 client on your 470? You should be able to pump around 14k on that and those WU's aren't affected by Bonus points. According to EOC you have been between 6 and 14k per day for the past 3 days, I'm assuming you aren't running 24/7?
No...that only applies to the SMP client. All the GPU work units have a bonus factor of 0, which means he should be getting full credit from the first WU. Depending on OC, he should be getting 11k~15k ppd from that GTX470, assuming it's folding 24/7.You just have to complete 10 SMP units (any mix of units, not all the same one) with your passkey to get the bonus. Filter, looking at your stats is very confusing. I see a ton of 298-point WUs, which means you are running the SINGLE THREADED cpu client. You do have the ocassional 7202-pt WU (GPUv3 client), but they are pretty rare - less than one per day. Can you please be more explicit about which clients you are running on which hardware (including clock/shader speed) and how many points you think you should be getting from each of them?
Whatever it is, we'd better figure it out soon because I show as the number one threat on your stats page...
