The experts have weighed in and it is official, video games are responsible for the rise in sexual violence. You know what that means...you better hide your kids, hide your wife and husband because someone you know up in here bought a video game.

Carol Lieberman, a psychologist and book author, told FoxNews.com that sexual situations and acts in video games — highlighted so well in Bulletstorm — have led to real-world sexual violence. "The increase in rapes can be attributed in large part to the playing out of [sexual] scenes in video games," she said.

While I'm disappointed that this guy apparently may not even be aware of Rapelay, I'm not quite sure the ESRB ratings system is even adequate for such a "game".

Violent crime has been declining for 30 years...and yet they blame video game for the "rise in violence" that doesn't exist.

Rape is down steadily since 1992...and yet now video games are to blame for the increase in rape that also doesn't exist.

This sounds like an article written by someone that just needed to write something to get paid.

There was a good comment on the article regarding their sources. How did this Dr. Lieberman come up with her data? Was it a study with controls or did she just interview inmates and ask if they played video games? I'm under the impression that she's just saying what she thinks contributes to sexual aggressiveness.

Anyway, Bulletstorm isn't even out yet and some dumbass is making assumptions from what they "researched" on YouTube videos.

Actually, video games cause global warming.
The increase in video games over the last 40 years roughly matches the increase in global temperatures.
Everyone needs to stop playing computer games until the earth cools off.

Well there has always since the medieval period and even before been a link between violence and sex in literature. I mean, many religions have promises of women or virgins when you die in battle (viking, islam). Many sexual things are named after violent acts like "the little death" etc. Probabaly because they are the two most emotional things you can speak about, romance and violence. blah blah.
