1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Experimenting with virtual desktops. Dedicated browser. Gaming.
2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
$130 is where I'm comfortable at. I can push it to $160 if I'm convinced it is worthwhile.

4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.
Just the GPU. I've been debating the merits between the GTS 450 and Radeon 5770.
5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.
CPU - Athlon 64x2 6000+
PSU -Rosewill RG430-2, 80 Plus cert
MOBO -ECS A780A-GM
Ram - 2x2 GB

7) What size monitor do you have and/or plan to have?
Gateway FPD 1775W 720p. I'm also getting another 17 inch monitor from a coworker which prompted me to believe it's reasonable to squeeze more use out of this PC.
8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
I was thinking this week but I noticed Nvidia is rumored to release the 550 ti in two weeks but nothing has been officially confirmed by them. I might get an evga gpu now and step-up.
9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? etc.

I'll just provide some back story.
So I'm saving up cash to get a serious performance PC.
The end goal being to redesign my living room space because my media habits have changed a lot over the years and recent technology improvements have made me consider this new way to think about how I use that space.
So when I'm by myself I can do everyday work and browsing off of two monitors unless I'm gaming and thus will use all three monitors .
When friends come over (it is rarely more than 2) I can assign to them a monitor and keyboard and by making ultra thin clients we can just game together in the shared space.
The major hold up besides myself not reaching the cash reserves I suspect I'll need for this setup (as well as the furniture) is Bulldozer and Sandybridge EN/X/whatever. To my understanding those technologies will eventually provide enough cores on a single socket to support 4 people considering how much PC gaming design targets are pegged to console design constraints (so I'm looking for an 8 module Bulldozer or 8 core Sandybridge with hyperthreading)
So when a coworker offered up his display, since he got a bigger one as a replacement; I'm thinking it would be worthwhile experimenting to see what it takes to make an ultra thin client off of this machine, and understand more about each virtualization platform I could be working with in the future.
As a perk I would be able to improve the visual quality of what I'm getting now.

WinXP both 32 and 64 Bit.
