Exodus (space RPG)

Seriously? I honestly don't know what you are talking about because I finished GTA 4 without needing any mod, and have never read of any such complaints from anyone else.
I'm not aware of any mod for it but there is a bug in GTA4 that requires you to limit the framerate to ~30 fps during one of the missions or you can't pass it. You have to button mash at one point and it's tied to keyframes that were designed around console performance.

With that said I also experienced bugs in ME:A even after all of the patches, the one I remember running into multiple times was getting stuck in the terrain due to clipping issues.

Cool story bro, I don't know what games you play or what shitty hardware you have but I do not experience noticeable bugs in every play session across 70 to 80% of games I play.

I'm just saying ME:A after patches wasn't too far off from the typical AAA or AA game experience. If you can't stand ME:A's level of bugs, then you can't stand most games.

Then I doubt you finished the game then. A quick google search found that it is still present as of 2020:

Example.

GTA4 was horribly buggy, a notably bad PC port. Far worse than ME:A. Outside of its humor it had dated gameplay and was quite awful. I think you're letting nostalgia get a hold of you.

Not opinion, observable facts....but keep telling yourself that Witcher 3 and GTA 4 were more buggy, its not going to convince me otherwise.

Witcher 3 was quite buggy, but they were smaller bugs. NPCs it cutscenes spawning inside of trees, NPC issues, lots of bugged cutscenes. It had a poor reception at launch. I played it some years after release when it was improved and generally playable. It just had a lot of small annoying issues, like ME:A. Seems like there was something wrong with your install or hardware. After the first month most of the major issues were patched out.

Yeah, and the thought that the time dilation (EG: travel takes time) changes the story could be incredible. I do get that this could go all pear shaped, but the team seems really excited by the possibilities and I'm really hoping this can scratch the Mass Effect itch.

Only time will tell how this turns out. The fact that the core initiators of the team are ex-Bioware/Mass Effect people is undeniable. It just feels like Mass Effect from the trailers. One, last, good cinematic RPG is all I really need. I got a lot of re-playability out of the Mass Effect quartet (yes, even Andromeda is quite playable after the patches and mods have taken it further). Could be good, the only thing I worry about is that it's a Wizards of the Coast Property. They're bankrolling the studio. They are so grotesquely woke that I can't see their DEI shite not making it into the game. However, I have heard they are hands off allowing the devs (of Mass Effect) to do what they want with the game.

There's real potential here. Possible multiple playthrough potential with the time Dilation. Possibly the first, REAL, actions have consequences in real time kind of game I am looking forward to it. I don't get excited about much these days, this might be a gem that sneaks out past all the political nonsense that has been injected into too many titles.

Shame it is that far away. Faces look pretty bad though, as does the low frame rate in parts of the video. Maybe that will improve over the next 15 or so months.
Agree about the faces, which is a shame. Seems to be all the human characters who have been beaten with an ugly stick - too bad its not being made by an Eastern developer.

Despite that, the gameplay, setting and lore look very intriguing.

the earlier trailers were better in terms of mythology and lore...the new trailer looks very generic sci-fi with worse graphics

I'm not even talking about the design, they look like something you'd expect from a 15 year old game. I'd say good face design both artistic and technical does a lot to elevate a character. And I assume this is a story/character driven game.

James Ohlen is still one of the lead creative directors so that alone gives me hope this will still be great...the main 3 guys that founded the new studio (Archetype Entertainment) are all ex-BioWare developers- James Ohlen, Chad Robertson and Drew Karpyshyn

Awww crap. Maybe they will pull something off, but hope fades more than a little.

Just remember if exodus bombs, there is still expanse !

its so weird, twitch today has been full of ads for this game. with voiceover by matthew mcconaghey.
for a game coming out in 2027. like, what IS going on????
