Protip: Use the sneak feature a lot as the Monster.....ESPECIALLY at the beginning of the round. If you don't, the hunters will get an immediate bead on your location.

Yep and avoid birds like the plague; as well as dont run - just walk normal speed.

As long as they don't have Daisy (Maggie), you'll be surprised how effective hiding in some brush as the hunters rush by you.

Going to use a Pizza Hut card to Order two Large Supreme and Meatlovers Pizzas for this game =) I love Pizza Hut but only get it like 5 times year stuff is bad for ya =)
 
Nvidia Geforce Experience was crashing so I ran driver sweeper did a new install of everything Nvidia and it still crashes so I updated Manually which would of been easier.
 
I guess it's a know problem on the Nvidia forums I'm reading funny because Geforce experience is suppose to fix the Headaches of updating Drivers what happens with the Experience program crashes =)
 
How are the bots? Something tells me probably won't play online all that much.
With the different packages - any major downsides with the cheapest one? Do you really miss out on a lot?

We had a Papa Johns but it closed up about 8 years ago.....

That shitty geforce "experience" has ALWAYS crashed on me, for freaking years I tried to use it and every time I open it it comes up "geforce experience has encountered an error blah blah."

Tried uninstlaling, reinstalling, everything, nothing ever works.
 
Game is live doing the Tutorial now...had to turn up the gamma to neutral to see what I'm doing in windows.

I'm more disappointed with the lack of options. I guess Turtle Rock wanted everyone to experience the game in the same way while alienating those on weaker hardware. And no, lowering the resolution is not an option on an LCD display while running fullscreen.

Game ran buttery smooth for me right after it unlocked this morning at 1440p with TXAA enabled, pegged at the default 60 FPS cap. Running an i7-4770, GTX 970 SLI, and 16GB of memory on W8.1.
 
I plan on playing more once the Pizza is here =) Game has a Learning Curve like pressing the CrtL button to sneak for food Monsters health Meter.

avoid the Hunters until you reach Stage 3...then unleash hell :p ...you can also lead the Hunters into traps...places where there are other killer plants or native wildlife
 
I was very hype for this when it was announced. As more news came out regarding all the bullshit attached to the game (DLC, pre-purchase, etc) I just lost interest.
 
Surprised only 2 pages for such a high profile game. FWIW I didn't pre order or purchase this game, will see how long it lasts.

Indeed. I find luring the hunters into some Elite wildlife is actually quite effective. They seem to be able to kill them faster than you, as the monster can.
 
Just got my ass kicked tried jumping doing everything to avoid the monster jumping backwards Monster just kicked our ass X3 times........ The weapons seemed underpowered if you ask me but I suppose the entire thing someone has to win and loose.

You get power ups killing lesser monsters the Maps are really immersive when the Monster gets level 3 he's pretty much OP.

I think this is going to be a Casual game for me or anyone =) No way can you take a game like this serious....
 
Nvidia's new drivers increased my performance BIG-TIME!

Went from about 40< to steady 60 FPS throughout 3-4 rounds

PRAISE THE SUN!!!

You really expected to be able to just "Rambo" style kill the monsters? Uh no.... you couldn't do that even in Alpha and Beta when I played, you have to quadrouple wammy them as a team, thats like....the entire games premise :rolleyes:

I was interested in the game then I see theres 3 different prices on steam - starting from the rice cake variant at $60 on up to the pay out your ass variant at $100 and my enthusiasm was killed.

I can't see your sig since I'm using the mobile layout, but I'm getting 100+ easy with the rig in my signature. (4670k @ 4.3 with a 290x)

Everything maxed but no AA. I find AA to be useless.

$45 at greenmangaming. That's the only edition you need. Don't sweat the fanboi editions unless you want to miss out on a fun game.

Will be interested to see if this becomes the new Cryengine benchmark. It's a much newer build of the engine, rolls in things like PBR.

new drivers seem to have fixed my issue ;)
 
I'm old school, I still prefer my physical copies of stuff I purchase, especially if digital ain't cheaper, ya darn kids.

wtf, all tonight I keep getting thrown into games that are already in progress and have to take over for a bot...usually as my 4th/5th role pick instead of my first role picks like yesterday.
