I am coming for you ...... :cool:

If you don't want me to pass you ..... I would grab some towels and start folding

Well I do have an A64 that I plan to fire up here shortly and I'm going to start overclocking my E4500 but that's still like trying to stop a train by placing a Volkswagon on the tracks. :D

Time to get that quad box together that I've been looking at...

YOU DO NOT NEED A QUAD BOX, ME ADDING ~1200 PPD TO MY COUNT TODAY HAS NO EFFECT ON YOU :D

or something like that :p

I never thought a thread about me would turn into 3 pages ....lol ....

Guess i am Mr popular

the way you're flying up the charts, i'm just waiting til someone has the computer lab to throwdown against you, then the fun shall begin :D

Well, I replaced the SI-128 SE in my system tonight with an Ultra 120 Extreme; dropped the temps by about 6C on the hottest running half, not too bad.

Where is that SI-128 SE going you ask? Surely, it won't be sitting on a shelf somewhere...?

The answer to this question is getting on the rails, choo choo...

EDIT: And as an aside, I hate the Yate Loons with the solid plastic screw-in section. I'm too lazy to go out to the garage, so this is the second one I'm 'working on' with a steak knife and a monkey wrench...

You can get surprisingly far in this world with a steak knife and a monkey wrench.

Ahh Evil, you're a worthy foe; I add a 2 Q6600s... you add 2 Q6600s... I see what needs to be done now :D Let's see what I can do over the next couple weeks, since I've hit the [H]ard limit on purchases for this half of the year... :cool:

I'm waving as Charlie_D leaves me behind just as I almost caught up....I guess I'll have to try hitch hiking with Evil when he comes roaring past

I ran into the same issue with one of my diskless boxes. I don't think I lost the WU as it said it had been sent successfully, but it did not move on to the next WU aftewards. I had to reboot the machine.

Well, I was able to get all my borgs back online last night.

I have narrowed it down to (2) issues but have to keep watching to see which one it is.

I will post when I am 100% so others can make come changes if needed.

All of my diskless should complete WU's at 7:00 AM on 2/8 so i play the waiting game now.

Same here, I think it might be more server problems on Stanford side than with our boxen. But I don't know all that much so.... :D

Be wary EA. I built one of my E2160s. I just started OCing, and it's at 2.92GHz, stock cooler, BELOW stock voltage, completely stable. Better watch out ;o

*sigh* I just passed you Yama, I guess it will be quite short lived :(

I'm am on newegg getting together a E4500 rig, there may be hope.

What mainboard are you using Yamaki?

Gigabyte GA-73VM-S2. Great value, exceptional mobo. Running 3.0GHz now folding, 59C on stock cooler and 1.3V (stock is 1.325V). It's an L2 too!

I love this mobo. I'd highly reccommend it to anyone. The only problem I have with it is that I can't figure out how to adjust the RAM voltage. But it's a minor issue.

I cant get my 2160 to 3ghz stable with out a bump to 1.35 :mad:

Since I have so many ppl trying to catch up to me ...i tweaked a few of my systems.

Diskless 1 - E2140

Originally at 2.66Gh -> Now at 2.96 -> Gained 82 PPD

Diskless 2 - E2140

Originally at 2.66Gh -> Now at 2.96 -> Gained 82 PPD

Diskless 3 - E2140

Originally at 2.66Gh -> Now at 2.96 -> Gained 81 PPD

Win XP - E2140

Originally at 2.66Gh -> Now at 2.88 -> Gained 76 PPD

Total Gain = 321 PPD -> Every Bit Helps

Nice tweaks you bastard... I need to graduate and settle down asap so that I can spend my hard earned money farming PPD

I'm working off of lose numbers......

Why with an 11% increase in speed did you see only a 6% increase in ppd?

Is the CPU hitting the upper limits of it's limited cache?

Maybe the cache is limiting the production so I'll leave this as is. That's why processors with 4 Mb of cache or more is helping a lot.

I think the cache is the reason for the % difference.
Those E2140 are maxed as far as they can go with my motherboard.
Running (8 x 370) Anything above 373-375 and I get kernel faults ... I also think there is a memory hole there as well .....

BTW how high u running those Vcores? Are you going to be posting some hardware in my thread in a few weeks? :p

E2140 @ 2.98Ghz
Vcore = 1.350v -> Stock = 1.325v
DDR2=1.9v
MCH = 1.350

Actually 2 will run on 1.325v but with the third wanting 1.350v .. i decied to bump them all up to keep it uniform.

Well, I finally talked the G/F into letting me upgrade the HTPC (TV Server I call it)

Taking out - AMD Sempron 3000+ -> Replacing with - E2160

EvilAlchemist's Computer Count - All Fold 24/7

E6600 @ 3.0Ghz
Q6600 @ 3.0Ghz
Q6600 @ 3.0Ghz -> Online within 5 days
E2140 @ 2.9Ghz
E2140 @ 2.9Ghz
E2140 @ 2.9Ghz

If you were trying to hold me off from overtaking you .... you might wanna use that tax rebate to add another borg .....

Damn Evil... Way to go man!

No tax rebate for me here in Canada, but not to worry, I'll find something to put a smile on your face... ;)

That's enough to make you pop in my rearview mirror :eek:

I'm gonna pressure my boss to order the computers (we're talking ~200 C2D boxes with potentially a E8400 in all of them) quicker...

You going after Felcom? :eek:

I wish I could :p

I'm allowed to use 5-6 box at a time but since I'm in charge of imaging all those boxes, I will make sure each one is folding before it's put into production (my workplace doesn't allow folding in a production environment, only pre-production and only when I have full control). Also, if it is much more powerful than my current work computer, i'll beg my boss to swap it :)

That will bring me in a more comfortable pace along with the return of availability of my 7 boxes farm at work (currently used for intensive lessons in a new inhouse software).
