evga vs. bfg

they have the same warranties right? I've heard evga offers lifetime... but don't know for sure.

i'm debating between the 2 cards and want to order this afternoon... anyone have any feelings either way? there's a $10 difference between the two of them. bfg comes with farcry, don't think the evga does.

what do you think?

Do you want FarCry or not? That should be the deciding factor here because everything else is the same or nominally different. I've got the EVGA card and I'm very happy with it. I think the biggest difference between the two cards would be the noise. The EVGA is one of the noisiest 7800GTs. However, the 7800GT as a whole is quiter than almost all top of the line cards. You're not going to be disappointed with either purchase.

Why? Just get a 7800gt, it won't be too much more.

7800GT's can be had for well under $400. 6800GT's are still $300 new. The difference is probably worth the $100.

At nearly double the speed, I'd say yeah. The 7800GT's and GTX's are about as fast as 6800GT's in SLi. Seems to me that the kind of performance offered by the 7800 series is worth the extra $100.
