Anyone here bought one of the new Supernova PSUs based on the LEADEX design?

I need a new 850-1000w psu. I like Corsair for quality/customer service, but the HX and AXi series are pricey and rarely on sale...

I know Seasonic is highly regarded, but I've heard they have terrible customer service/RMA issues.

So I'm thinking these new EVGA units might be cool, especially with a 10 year warranty... but are they any good? I've read the JG reviews, but it seems like they are in EVGAs pocket... and Hard hasn't reviewed one of LEADEX platform units.

I know that EVGA has done some lame things in the past, but how is their customer service/support?

Thanks!

Seasonic was great with RMAs for me. And I have not seen many complaints about Seasonic customer service here on Hardforum. Actually, I don't think I have seen any...

JonnyGuru is reliable. They do use review samples that were given to them, whereas Hard buys retail units, so there can be some issues that pop up (good JonnyGuru review + bad Hard review is indicative of high variability between retail units, or cheating). However, an enthusiast driven company like EVGA isn't likely to risk losing enthusiast confidence by cheating, so if there's high variability, bringing the issue up will almost guarantee a change.

I'm also very careful when i read PSU reviews and i try to verify the review with reviews from other sites as well. And i also look the comments from consumers at sites like Amazon & NewEgg to see their opinion as well.
If i'm satisfied with all the factors i mentioned above then i'm confident for buying the PSU.
Since you are looking for an EVGA 850-1000 watt PSU, i looked the EVGA SupernovaG2850.
So we have the following facts:
1) Great comments from 2 well known sites, Jonny Guru & Techpowerup:
http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story&reid=377
http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/EVGA/SuperNOVA_G2_850/1.html and
2) Very good comments from the consumers as well:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...=evga_supernova_g2_850-_-17-438-018-_-Product
So my personal opinion is that you can buy it with confidence ;)

So if your choices were an EVGA SuperNova G2 1000, or a Seasonic SS-1050xm... would you go EVGA for the 10 year warranty, or Seasonic for the Seasonic-ness.

Nobody who saw my bank account would say that :p

EVGA is the only company in North America selling the SF Leadex units, which is hands down the best platform SF has ever put out. These units would test well for me no matter who slapped their name on the side.

I just picked up a 1300 G2 as an upgrade from an AX860. Seasonic has always been my first choice, but I was impressed by the reviews I saw for the 1300 G2 and SF's Leadex unit in general. The fact that it could be had for less than I paid for the AX860 ($150 after MIR @ NE) was even more impressive. I've only had the unit in my possession for the last few days, but I haven't noticed any acute issues (noise) vs my AX860 and the 10 year warranty has definitely made me feel pretty confident I won't see any problems for a long time

I have been using a 1300 G2 for a few weeks with my gaming rig running 2x GTX780 Ti gpus. No complaints thus far, the price was very competitive after the rebate. And eVGA offers a 10 year warranty with the XR branded units and is known for their high end warranty service. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the 1300 G2 or 1000 G2 to anyone looking for a high end PSU at a competitive price.

Thanks for the replies guys... I ended up getting a Seasonic 1050XM, primarily based on the HardOCP review of the 1250xm.
