so my evga 7600 GT KO card died and decided to rma it and had a little surprise on return, instead of the little 7600GT i get a nice looking 7950 GT, pretty cool i thought, with something almost double the performance as the old card i was quite happy with the return. i was surprised when i plugged it in and it ran the crysis demo very well, played at 1280x960 w/no AA, all Medium settings and at a playable fps. it was probably under 40fps, but it was good i thought after running a7600 GT for some time.

so during the timeout with the rma, i ordered a 8800 GT, so when that comes in i will be rocking.

but thought i share a my little rma surprise, i've come to have a few rma surprises, like my Seagate hdd return, rma'ed a 320gb drive, was returned a 750 GB.
 
Well I recently RMA'd my 7950GT and got a 7950GX2 in return. Happy here as well. :D
 
Nice. I received my eVGA 8800GT yesterday (works perfectly so far) but my BFG 6800 GT OC died in the meantime so I'm about to RMA it...I planned on keeping it in my old PC so my mom could use it (and give my older one to her bf) but I wouldn't mind getting a slightly faster card out of it, hehe. Fingers crossed.
 
Damn, I RMA'ed my EVGA 7600gt last week and I got a 7600gt in return:(:D

What was wrong with yours? I think some of the memory went bad on mine... suddenly the whole screen got a bunch of artifacts even in 2d mode
 
Just know that if you have an SLI rig and you RMA make sure you specify that in your RMAs so if we dont have what you are RMAing in stock at that moment we will probably give you two of the same card. If that still happens, please call in to support. :D
 
EVGA is very nice on the RMAs, easy to deal with and very sparing on the gifts. I was in on the bad batch of 7900s when they first launched and I went through like 12 cards and they kept upgrading me along the way. I went from a 7900GT->7900GT SC->7900GT KO->7900GT KO SC->7900GT SS->7900GTX->and finaly a working 7950GX2. Also hooked me up with a different free game with each card (COD2, Quake 4, HL : EP1, ect.). Even though it was a hassle with all the downtime and returns, I will always buy from them because of this.
 
Here's hoping my artifacting 8800GT SC gets replaced by a KO or an SSC. :D
 
I recently rma'ed my evga 8800gts 640 and received a 8600gt. How the **** does that happen? I'm thinking an employee thought he could get away with a little trick. Too bad he picked the wrong person. I wasn't too happy. They are now cross-shipping me what the customer rep said IS my exact card (N825R something or other, I have the superclocked model @ 576/1700). Still waiting for it to arrive. And oh man, if they charge my account because they slacked on the shipping...
 
I wouldnt have complained if they upgraded me to an 8800GT :D

I am sorry you got an 8600GT, that is an unacceptable mistake on our part.
 
This is why I recommend EVGA to all my customers, I couldn't be happier with my 8800's and I've never had a problem with them. Hopefully someday we're all hoping to receive a similar surprise like you did when we have to RMA our 680i's, and we'll get Yorkfield support. We've started spelling it eVga: V for Vendetta.
 
Same RMA experience here ... went from a 7900GT KO to a 7950GX2, so I am quite happy. I currently own 3 eVGA cards, so I'm sure the next one will be an eVGA as well .. whether it be SLI'd 8800GTs or the next card in early Spring from Nvidia.
 
Just had to chime in with another great review for evga. Had a 7600gt go bad and I met the evga rep @ the newegg lan. Told him my problem and he sent me an rma # through email and had the new replacement card a few days later. I will continue my support for a company that supports us!

I had to RMA drives twice via HP in the past 3 months. The first time they sent us SATA drives instead of Hot-Plug SCSI that we needed.
This time, they sent us 146gb versions instead of 76gb :eek:. I would have been happy, but we are running raid-5 config, which will not allow us to use these drives, worthless HP.
 
I thought perhaps EVGA made a mistake when they sent me my replacement card but I guess I'm not the only one to benefit from a little RMA lovin

I submitted my 7600GT for RMA on 1/2/08. Took them 5 days to approve it (they were closed till the 4th if I remember correctly). Another 3 days after they received my card to send out the replacement. I was expecting another 7600GT or perhaps an 8500GT. So I was pleasantly surprised to open the box and find a 7900GS sitting there. Looked brand new, even had the little protective film cover on the heatsink. ;) I know it's not the latest and greatest but hell, it's easily 50-75% faster than my old card (which could not overclock worth a damn). Should hold me over a bit longer till the 9600GTs come out, or the 8800GTs drop in price a bit more. :)
 
EVGA is the best and RMA is fast too, I have 3 of their vid cards now and will keep buying EVGA now.
