EVGA power supplies?

The NEX750G is Guru3D reccomended, which costs $20 more, and the price on the 750G seems like maybe to good a price for a modulaur 80 plus gold 750 PSU.

Unless Guru3D started doing proper PSU tests with an ATE, hot box, and ripple and noise measurements, the Guru3D PSU reviews are practically worthless.

In any case, PCPer, which does do proper PSU tests, showed that the eVGA NEX750G was an ok but very overpriced power supply:

Even at its current pricing of $102 shipped, you can get far far better power supplies for the money like the Seasonic G Series SSR-550RM 550W, Corsair HX750, Rosewill Capstone 650W, etc.

Thanks for the replies. I've had some bad luck with "highly rated" gear in the past.I think more and more you have to look at the warranty. Antec used to be good but now all I hear is what junk their turning out. My Corsair TX750w was top pick on several sites and I had to RMA 3 to get a good one :(
