EVGA ITX Barebones

tasty. I really think that the days of the hulking elephant that was needed for a balls-out gaming machine are really starting to wane.

NEVER! There will always be a space for over the top builds, shame on you for your blasphemy! :D Frank N Stein disapproves of this message.

Now I could see this as a nice and tidy HTPC though.

Kinda. If decided to use a sound card, SLI etc. ITX just doesn't work for me.
Being an enthusiast, I need a case that can match my imagination. ITX cases limits my imagination.
If I see a ROG ITX motherboard with decent onboard sound, stuffing a GTX 690 inside a ITX case sounds like a good idea.

The SG10 looks like a better compromise of size and space.

my define mini (not too shabby) says phhhhbttt lol.

Neat but anything with a modern EVGA motherboard is a pass. WAAY too many issues reported and way too few updates.

Lol, of course this would come from the largest patch :p

The top of this case just makes me go  I just don't see how it ties into the design at all.

Very neat. I especially like the watercooled version and the mods they made to make it easy on the user.

I've not heard good things about the stinger mobo either up till now, mostly bios related but still.

Most other companies it would be easy to say "the BIOS problems will probably be ironed out". However with EVGA that is very iffy. Even back when they had a good motherboard team they rarely did BIOS updates on anything expect their highest-end expensive boards. Beyond the issues the Stinger just doesn't seem like a great board. Other Z77 ITX boards offer similar and more features for significantly less. At $200 the Stinger should have all the bells and whistles of the cheaper boards and more. It feels like you're paying more for the brand name than anything.

I could have sworn that in an article I read about this case release it came without a motherboard.... ;)

Regardless; The evga itx boards have some issues that they still haven't adressed otherwise I would have one.

You wouldn't know it looking under my desk. And I'd hate to integrate a machine with this many GPUs into a smaller chassis. I know it's doable but I'll pass.

Should have made a DTX board with SLI... With 2x mPCIe slots for a mythical mPCIe soundcard and cache driver...
