evga gts450 getting nv surround to work.

I downloaded the same drivers hardocp used to test sli and nvsurround in this article http://www.hardocp.com/article/2010/09/14/nvidia_geforce_gts_450_sli_video_card_review/7but the option to span displays is not there. is there something im missing?

systems specs are amd fx60
dfi nf4-slidr expert mb
4gb corsair xms 3500
2x evga gts450 1gb

windows 7 x64bit ultimate

2x samsung 204t monitors

This might be an artificial limitation by nVidia to force people into buying higher end cards, but from the looks of it you can't do it with the hardware you have.

Correct me if I'm wrong as I believe its just a typo but your specs listed in you original post shows only two monitors, you need three for surround.

wasnt a typo .. and i guess thats whats missing.. grr. dont suppose theres a way to trick windows in to spanning a game across 2 screens without nv surround enabled?

I know eve-online supports it now which is the main game I play but would be nice for the others as well.

I'm not sure how spanning two displays would be very useful in gaming...RTS maybe would be alright. Also, Surround and Eyefinity both require 3 screens to get started..how would it be surround with only two screens? you don't get "surrounded" with two.

^ pretty much sums it up since in an FPS your crosshair would be where the bezel is and in an MMO/RPG your character sits right where the bezel is. either way you just end up looking at the center bezel the entire time no matter what game type you play.
