So my production as of late has been less than my average.
The SWMBO got me a new HDD for X-mas (WD Caviar Black 750G), and I installed Vista Business. That down time combined with constant battling with Vista's UAC cost a few points. As of right now I have maintained UAC and yet managed to make end runs around it so that folding and all my other software starts automaticly.
Then came the blackout that struck Oahu. 1 Lightening strike took out over 90% of the entire island. The darkness lasted around 14 hours. Cost? around 4000 points from my main rig and I had 2 749 pointers decide to start over from 0% due to improper core termination. Frustrating, but what can you do?
And now the root of the problem. it started last night about 15 minutes after I went to bed. My GPU rig EUEed out and didn't run for 8 hours. This morning I deleted my queue.dat and restarted (I've EUEed out before and that seems the simplest, quickest recovery). FAH GPU2 promply downloaded a new work unit and crunched it just fine. Then EUEed out on the next one. Odd. I checked the ver. of the GPU2 client 6.20r1, I had thought I had 6.23, so I downloaded 6.23 copied it over and restarted. Crunched fine and EUEed one the next unit. This time I deleted both FAH11 and FAH13 cores. I'm back up crunching again, but I'm not sure how long. Suggestions?
FAH Client: 6.20r1 and 6.23
FAH Core 11: 1.19 before and 1.19 after
FAH Core 13: 1.19 before (have not DLed a new one)
nVidia Drivers: 180.60
OS: Vista Business 32 Bit SP1
GPU: 260GTX OCed 713 core/1566 shader/1244 Mem (still happens if I back down a notch to 689/1513/1244) both have been 100% stable folding)
GPU Temp 65C
the rest of the details should be in my sig
