LSI 9260-8i is what the Dell PERC H700 is modeled after.
Good cards but it is one of the "older" cards as I mentioned previously.
I don't remember any issue with SATA drives not running at 6Gb/s speeds ..but it's been a while.
How about the:
LSI MegaRAID SAS 9271-8i
This has 1GB cache memory and x8 lane PCI Express 3.0.
When you say "older card" I assume this isn't a bad thing...or is it when using it with modern SSDs?
Would the cache on these RAID cards allow me to get good performance? By good I mean at least 200-300MB/sec?
