I RMA'd my card and they got it on tuesday of this week.

Half a day later, I went to see the RMA status, and it is already listed as rejected (I believe) and I haven't even been contacted to know why?

I do not know of REJ QTY does mean rejected, but I find it strange it was rejected 4 hours after they just received it. Or perhaps it means something different?

Hey thanks!

I have been talking to him as he helped me issue the RMA, but I am hoping he will be able to shed some light on what happened here and explain just what it was.

The card was packaged with 4 layers of jumbo bubble wrap, packed with air bubble packaging bags inside, and included all the documentation required. I have also taken dozens of pictures of the PCB before sending it as I've heard XFX has a strange fame (so I've read) to break cards and claim they arrived broken.

I am hoping nothing iffy is happening as shipping was almost 100 dollars from my country as I was told my rma would be cancelled if not send within 30 days, so I paid express shipping with DHL.

Hello, this interface is not really meant for customers to see. I've asked to have it removed, but they insist it will be complete shortly.

The card is currently in testing and we should have results with 24 hours.

If you could direct me to any threads or complaints about XFX "breaking" cards then rejecting them, please do so. All video cards are inspected upon arrival and thoroughly examined. If the card fails the visual test, we take a picture immediately and update our customers.

Thank you for your time! The analysis came and the card was found to be not faulty, but it didn't surprise me. The card was working on and off performing flawlessly for a week and later crashing spectacularly.

Thankfully XFX decided to still replace the card given the description I had provided to avoid any further and possible issues. The card will get here on thursday and I will see how this goes.

XFX Suggested to check my system, it has been running with another card and not encountering any issues. I guess the card was just crazy.

So far a good experience here!

I have dealt with xfx support, one through newegg and the other from there site let me say it was a flawless experience for me with both channels. i received my replacement fan today installed it now im running crisp amd graphics instead of intel's washed out without a problem. freeken love them considering only xfx for the future

Always love seeing a rep frequent and respond to posts on this forum. Makes me trust that brand and more likely Ill buy and recommend that brand as well. Well done XFX.

It is good to see, if it wasn't for the VRM issues, my card would have been amazing. Maybe next gen they will finally get the VRM temps right and not just say they did. ;)

Only one RMA experience with XFX and it was excellent and without problems. Shipped the old card to them; XFX tested and found it faulty. They paid to ship me a new one. Took about 10 working days; continual updates and feedback from them. No complaints at all. Appreciate the XFX representative's presence on these forums.

There's a reason I only buy XFX cards when buying AMD and EVGA when buying Nvidia. They both allow cooler changes and don't fuck around when you need an RMA.

I had a very similar issue happen with a AMD 6950. Computer would freeze to a solid color screen at random times. No real rhyme or reason to it. During XFX's testing they were not able to find any issues with the card, but they gave me the benefit of the doubt, and shipped me a new card anyways. Not had a problem since. XFX is cool in my book. I will most likely stick with them for any future AMD card purchases.

I haven't had to RMA an XFX card yet, but the 280x that I have did have little "warranty" stickers over the screws that held on the stock heatsink. I of course paid no attention to them as I removed said heatsink in favor of an H60/G10 solution, but could this affect my ability to RMA the card should the need arise? It's working flawlessly at the moment and I have no need to RMA it, the question is purely academic.

I am also curious on this for my 290x... I bought an H55 for mine when Corsair announced their HG10 bracket, which of course has been delayed till August now.

From what I remember reading they are "ok" with it for customers inside North America but they like for you to touch base with a CS rep first. I'm sure once XFXSupport reads this he will clarify.

Customers in North America are welcome to remove the warranty void stickers as desired.

As always, PM me if you have any questions for faster response times.

Thanks

Both times I have had to send in to XFX RMA, I got the "REJ QTY" status...and both times I got brand new sealed cards back in the mail. First they upgraded me from a 7950 to a 7970, and now they sent me a 280x, which is now still sealed and for sale.

The fans on the 7970 lasted a week before making noise, and failing completely.

Thanks for the information! Love having a vendor actually respond to posts! Another reason why [H] is my goto for hardware info for the last 10years.
