This is driving me nuts...
Finished my first WU, and now I get the following error:

[23:16:41] + Attempting to send results
[23:17:17] Couldn't send HTTP request to server (wininet)
[23:17:17] + Could not connect to Work Server (results)
[23:17:17] (171.64.65.64:8080)
[23:17:17] - Error: Could not transmit unit 01 (completed Febuary 27) to work server.

[23:17:17] + Attempting to send results
[23:17:20] Error: Got status code 503 from server
[23:17:20] Couldn't send HTTP request to server (wininet)
[23:17:20] + Could not connect to Work Server (results)
[23:17:20] (171.64.122.76:8080)
[23:17:20] - Error: Could not transmit unit 01 to Collection server; keeping in queue.
[23:17:20] + Closed connections

this was followed with a notice that the WU had expired so it cleared it out and started a new one, which it downloaded just fine.
I'm pretty sure this is not a firewall issue, as the computer this is on is set as the DMZ on my router. Anyone have any other ideas?

*EDIT* Not sure why I got this error in the console, but the WU is showing up on my stats page now, and I'm officially a member of the [H]ard|Folding team with a whopping 1WU turned in!! wooohooooo

*EDIT #2* I'm 1/2 tempted to spend all night going back over all my posts over the last month or 2 and add my new F@H tag to all of them :D

Congrats on your first WU! :)

BTW, it appears that Stanford experiences frequent server issues, so don't be surprised if you see that happen from time to time.

I know I'm not going to be breaking any records, especially with this team, but I'm happy I can do my part, even if it's only 1WU every 2 days or so.

I started out on F@H a while after the second iteration (current project) started. At the time I was lucky to do 200 PPD with 2 or 3 machines. Trust me, if you're pushing out 1760 points or around there every couple of days, it's nothing to sneeze at.

Congrats!

You got a badge! Nice!

You turned in a 1760 point WU! Nice again!

Running the SMP! nice very nice!

Welcome to the Team!

Welcome! small time folders help out alot and once you get addicted your gonna want more boxen.

[23:17:17] Couldn't send HTTP request to server (wininet) <- ???

Did you set it to use IE when you configed the client.
If you did then .....

The client will send the results in but not record that its been succesfull or not.
Hence the client keeps trying to send the work unit in untill it expires.
Not only does this put more load on Stanford servers but the risk is that it will also delete your current work unit when it deletes the expired one.

Restart the client with the -config flag and set "Use IE" to No.

Ps. Nice badge.

Luck ........... :D

Congrats on your first WU, too. I am running some big WUs right now and I tend to get those 503 errors on my mac borg, I just keep restarting the app until it gets a good connection.
