Hey, seriously considering buying parts of lat's farm, but for now I've got to fix my own stuff. Anyways, I've got a 680i LT LanParty board that I bought from here about 5 months back and it's been on a shelf since it came (arrived while I was on a training op). anyways, wanted to boost my score so I tried to fire it up as the newmobo for my 3 8800 GT's. Got all set up (with a Q66 and some Ram I've used before) and I can't getit to post even. It turns on, that's it. Little light on the board says 88. What's that mean? Am I stuck with a lemon? Tried swappi g out diff configs of 3,2,and 1 cards, still nothing but "88". Any ideas? This goes down, I'm sitting on a lot of hardware with no home

I remember the DFI lanparty series getting 3 year warranties?

EDIT: double post... sorry to get your hopes up!

Great, what's the point of a detailed error readout if all it says is error?

'reserved'.

It means the system chip has no ((*^#%))ing clue... whatsoever.

88 is 'reserved' (lanparty uses Phoenix)

It just means 'something is wrong'.

Looks like you are going to have to try each, and every component, one by one, before checking warranty status. (sorry, I'm not really much help in higher end motherboards)

that's a really old list of codes. Newer Phoenix codes list 88h as "Initialize BIOS data area". Could be bad RAM or corrupted BIOS image.

See I bought it used that's the problem. I'll play with itmore tomorrow. Really hope it doesn't go down, I can't afford to replace it right now
