XP SP2
C2D 6600 running at 2.8ghz 1.21v 40'C Idle and 50-52'C underload
Memory is 4gb of corsair xms2 not OC'd
evga 8800GTX on the evga 680i - it's not OC'd but it's running hot 64'C Idle, up to 70-75'C ingame.
I've had the computer for about 2 weeks and everything has been running great. But today, I try to play Company of Heroes and it repeatedly crashes the entire computer during startup. After a few reboots, I managed to get to the Menu screen and started a quick match skirmish game. But after about 2 minutes the entire computer FREEZES up. Can't tab, can't crtl alt del.
I tried playing Oblivion, but after casting a spell and engaging an enemy the same thing happens.
Is this a video card problem? Perhaps it is too hot? Or is this my CPU? It's fairly cool underload at 50'C
Keep in mind that I have been running all week at the overclocked 2.8ghz and no problems. The only thing i installed this week was an ebay toolbar.
I've got 2 120mm Fans blowing directly at the video card with the case open. I live in FL, it's 77'F degrees in my room.
