Basically, these are fantastic 5.1 speakers, highly regarded as Klipsch is (the parent company) : http://www.klipsch.com/klipsch-brand

You cannot go wrong for this price, for these speakers.

are these the same as the monoprice copycat monitors?
 
I got these at a similar price last summer and they're amazing for what you are paying.
 
I got these a few years back (without subwoofer) for $60 from tigerdirect.

They're pretty good with my receiver for PC, they weren't very good when i tried it in the livingroom with TV.
 
I kind of wish the sub powered the speakers, like the old Klipsch and Logitech sets for PC. I have room for the speakers, but my 5.1 HT receiver? Not so much.

I still plan on picking these up for TV duty at some point because I've always heard great things about them. Will just have to stick with my 2.1 PC audio setup for now.
