Elden Ring Nightreign

Just to understand - if you have never played Elden Ring (but maybe you tried other souls like games) - how do you learn the game play loop in Nightreign if you can’t really play solo easily? I assume over time the game audience will be increasingly hardcore and less tolerant of noobs, making it impossible to dive in?
I am tempted to give it a go, but the initial negative feedback regarding the solo experience and the experience with randoms and lack of comms makes it sound like a tough hill to climb for someone wanting to learn for the first time.

NightReign isn't intended for a broad audience. Stick to Elden Ring for that. NightReign's RNG factor is enough to piss off even those who have mastered ER.

Some people don't mind a little extra masochism or difficulty. And more power to 'em.

I wouldn't even say NR replaces ER Seamless Co-op mod either. Apples and Oranges.

However, FromSoft doesn't own Bloodborne and really has no control over it from an IP standpoint. That's Sony's IP. The ball has always been in Sony's court.

Sony and FromSoft have always had an estranged relationship. Successful, but estranged.

If Sony won't pony up money to pay FromSoft for a Bloodborne 2, remake, or whatever then we end up with something like Duskbloods. Which isn't saying much because, for now, it's console locked.

Or maybe Sony will hire Bluepoint again (as they did with Demon's Souls 2020) to make a Bloodborne remake? I'm guessing they are probably cheaper than FromSoft? I think that one proved gamers don't really care who makes it, just that it's good and it's on their platform.

if you can find a good group of players to co-op with then I think it will be fine for newcomers...but if you're playing solo forget about it as a newbie

As announced a few weeks ago, stronger and more challenging versions of the following Nightlords will begin to appear from the depths of the night as 'Everdark Sovereigns' over the next few weeks: Gaping Jaw, Sentient Pest, and Darkdrift Knight. Other Everdark Sovereigns-(Tricephalos, Augur, Equilibrious Beast and Fissure in the Fog) will be added to the game at a later date.

Every week, a new Everdark Sovereign will arrive in Limveld. After an Everdark Sovereign appears, anyone who has defeated the original version of that Nightlord will be able to face its Everdark Sovereign form. When this time is up, the Sovereign will disappear from the available Expeditions... for now.

*Everdark Sovereign is available for online mode only. If you launch the game in offline mode, please select “LOGIN” from title menu and connect to the game server. Single play is also available in online mode.

Player count has dropped massively compared to 2 months ago, but that is to be expected. Still a good chunk of players.

Picked up the deluxe edition on via Steam Sale getting faster internet this month so it should be a good game. I asked where I should go on the map I guess follow other people around that know the map better. There is still like 30K players everyday so I should have no problems finding a match. Plus you can solo the game but I guess co-op is better.
