how does everyone feel about the EK 680i waterblock and their 775 cpu block? im really looking to minimize the number of manufacturers that go into my loop, any suggestions?
CPU block is not ideal for performance...but it is sexy
(limit manufacturers?that's a new one..)
I went with EK for my Gfx blocks, NB and SB blocks, and 2 resevoirs
D-Tek FuZion for my CPU and 2 Thermochill rads.
Of course you can just shop at petras or performance-pcs or jabtech and get it all from one place if you have to mix manufacturers.
I have three EK blocks ...
The EVGA 680 NB block, the NF4 rev 1.1 for the SB, and the 8800GTX block ... Eddy is such a nice guy, he sent both 680i blocks before he even got my payment. Besides, both 680i block are acetyl and black finish, they are SEXY !!!
I got the Dtek for the CPU though, its also very nice looking and will give you better performance according to many. I only ever tested this one though, but my watercooling master Arcy says Dtek have the flattest bases, and he's sort of very difficult for that kind of thing, so ... to each his own !
How about the 8800 GTX blocks? I like the see thru design but is there an issue like other acrylic tops with degrading? Should I just get the acetal top and save myself any future trouble?

Ive heard people with acrylic tops had some cracking problems on em. Probably from misuse but on the other hand, acrylic are really prone to cracks be it misuse or some random thing. Ive got an order for the EK with acrylic since PTS has not received their stock for the delrin. So hopefully it wont crack on me till i get the delrin replacement top.
