A picture is worth a thousand words.

Unfortunately the review is already finished – so I don't have the display anymore :).

....and RGB-LED....
The new AH-IPS LG panels with GB-r LED (edge-emitting) backlight seemed to fit in but Eizo informed me that the panel doesn't come from LG. Therefore the actual blu is pure speculation but it wouldn't surprise me if it is a comparable solution. Energy consumption and color gamut are at least some indicators.

are you implying the return of an A-TW polarizer?
At any rate something similar.

Does it have LG's typical grainy matte coating?

Is it semi-glossy like the Samsung PLS displays, actually matte or similar to the Dell U2713's coating which most people report to have weird cross-hatching issues? Nice, it costs 2,500$ in Canada.

to all people who read this thread and don't yet own A-TW enabled LCD :
YES, YOU WANT ONE!

Darn you...Well OK sounds good anyways.

Nice to know there is something to replace my 2490 UXi with, if I ever win the Lotto.

I HAVE ONE!!!

I've been using an NEC 2090uxi for years. I can't give it up. But I need something bigger.

same here, I been using the original NEC 2490Wuxi since 2009.

nothing I tried compares to it yet in terms of colors and viewing angles.

That's where I'm at and I've looked over several options ranging from the Eizo gaming monitor to the Koreans to some of this other stuff and I just can't make myself pull the trigger. At least not yet.

You have stimulated me to go to the bathroom. :D
Comparing a CG246 to a Nec2490 is like comparing a ferrari with a chevrolet.
