Hi I overclocked my i7-860 to 3.6ghz with EIST and everything enabled but turbo and it does not seem to underclok on iddle according to CPU-Z. Is it cpu-z who report wrong or EIST is not working ?

You need to enable the "C" states as well as EIST. I am not up on the options on that newer board, the older ones have a bios entry labled "C1E" which needs to be "enabled" look for something like that, there may be more than one now.

The only thing I did in advanced cpu feature is disable Turbo boost and EIST was working before so I find it wierd.

[EDIT] my bad power saving feature were at auto not enabled :| now it's working
