Edgerouter X. $60 Newegg with code.

The one you linked to is the Edgerouter X-SFP. It does have PoE capabilities. I'm currently using one to power 2x AP-AC-LR's.

$60 is a good price for that router. The regular ER-X is like $50 on Amazon.
It has passive PoE, perhaps the previous user meant active?

My ER-X-SFP is active PoE, but only 24v good for Unifi access points. Not the standard 48v.

And, yeah, most home users are not going to use SFP. I use a Cisco SFP to GBE adapter to use that port. Works perfectly.

I picked up the non-SFP version recently on that $40 deal...seems like a powerful little unit. Definitely not for beginners, though there is a setup wizard that will get you a good baseline router config that is on par with normal router setups (one LAN subnet, mirrored to all LAN ports, etc.).

Been thinking about getting some Unify APs, but my Asus routers seem to be fine for AP duty currently. Thinking about trying to do something mesh-related for better handoff between APs.

I just picked up a ERPoE-5 router. Little over kill for my house but seams to work great and I can actually tell it's faster over my old Netgear nighthawk r7000. Have one of there Pro APs coming tomorrow for wireless. Does take a little more to setup. If you like to mess with your network and be able to monitor everything I highly recommend one of these routers. Great for the money.
