Hmm, so I've been reading about how to position the speaker correctly, and I have this speaker:
[ame="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000OG6I6A/ref=as_li_tf_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=tu05d-20&linkCode=as2&camp=217145&creative=399369&creativeASIN=B000OG6I6A"]Amazon.com: Sony SS-B3000 Bookshelf Speakers with 8-Inch Woofer (Pair, Black): Electronics@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/410nZ6jqYQL.@@AMEPARAM@@410nZ6jqYQL[/ame]

Should I use tweeter or the woofer as ear level reference?

(And the picture is incorrect, it's a much much taller speaker)

The general consensus is that sound becomes less directional at lower frequencies...

The bass on those speakers will remain directional no matter what. Don't worry about that. Always have tweeters at ear level, or at least aiming at ear level.

The black one. The white one is a midrange speaker (or is at least supposed to be).
