E6750 - 4 GHz Air

Huh, isn't the recommended Vcore limit 1.5V?

Also, is it 4 hours Orthos stable? And what are the temps you're getting?

we had a snow storm today and windows blowing and everything

the only reason i tried this was becuz its so cold

i have like 4 jackets on

its 10F in here around 35c load coretemp 0.95.4

and i can only choose from 1.6v or 1.8v if i go up that high

1.6v wasnt enough wish i had like 1.65

if u look it suicide

You might want to dial down the voltage. The max recommended voltage for a C2D CPU is 1.55V I believe. Anything after that means damage to the CPU.

I'm tempted to try that heh

I got mine to post at 3.9ghz at 24C room temp and stock voltage... wonder what a winter cooled room + some insane voltage may do heh...

NICE OC!!!! Ugh, why do I live in SoCal?!?! Why can't I live where its 10°F?!?!?! LOL. Company had an In-n-Out lunch a few weeks ago out int he parking lot... I looked for a seat in the shade. My coworker said, "I didn't pay california house prices to sit in the shade... you must be from here!" ... lol.

What were your temps like with CoreTemp 0.95.4?

Stock voltage?!?!? argh!!@#!@$ wish my VID was lower, lol. I can POST up to 4.16Ghz with my E6750 and Ballistix, but I need 1.56v to do so. Windows crashes when I launch Super Pi, lol. My temps at 3.8Ghz (1.55v) are 27°C idle, 52°C load, 22°C ambient, using a Tuniq Tower. Me scurred to give it more voltage.

If you are really daring, stick it all in a fridge and let lady luck decide it's fate heh

temps are the enemy for my system, I try to keep it as a closed box when I do my testing so as far as temps go 3.6 is my upper limit for being stable.

anything more than that requires a COLD room, open case and more voltage. I'm also playing with the 8x multiplier so I'm pushing the ram and the board to it's limits (I can't post 500mhz on ram regardless of timings/voltage to the ram).

I miss living in socal, being a car guy winter is the devil. The PC modding though makes up for that part.
