What's some good memory (1GB x 2) for overclocking an e6600? I want the Buffalo Firestix but they are OOS everywhere. Looking to spend ~200.

An argument can be made that due to the E6600 mulitplier of 9 and with a 400MHz FSB resulting in a cpu speed of 3.6GHz, which is a pretty good OC on air cooling with reasonable Vcore voltages, any PC-6400 (800MHz - 400MHz FSB x 2) will do and its a waste of money for high performance ram as its unlikely you will get much higher.

IMO any good quality well known manufacturers PC6400 4 4 4 12 will more than do the trick and 5 5 5 15 aint bad either as its been shown that C2D performace is pretty insensitvie to memory timings.

I like corsair /shrug

If you are extream overclocking on water, well perhaps then some super OCer memory might be needed but still PC6400 will still be the best choice. Its not much to ask 800MHz ram to go to say 420 FSB (840MHz memory speed) which is 3780GHz cpu and you will probally need 1.5V or more to make that. See the Conroe OC database thread.
