E6300 vs. Opteron 175

Alright, today my ram should be getting in and I wanted to know. What speed I should overclock the E6300 to in order to be the same as the Opteron 175? Just so I know what I need to go over when I overclock it.

If it's already better, great!
 
By the looks of what Anandtech did, the E6300 comes out of the box better than the Opteron 175 since it's the equivelant of the X2 4400 I believe.
 
Why worry about the equivalent? You should be going for more than what you had before. Just start overclocking it see what you can get while keeping it stable.

I don't see any reason to worry about trying to beat my current system's speed in a case like this. Just get the best you can out of what you have.

 
Well, since I'm replacing the Opteron 175 with the E6300, I wanted to make sure I'm at least making an upgrade in power. Not replacing with something slower.

Does that make sense.

Yes, i'll be pushing this processor as far as I feel I can on air. So don't worry about that.
