Dual XP Mobiles

Hi all,

I know this isn't directly a DC question, but I am looking to cheaply upgrade the farm.
I've got my eyes on a Gigabyte Dually Socket A board, and I am wondering if I will be able to mod XP mobiles to work on this board, specifically the new 3000+ Barton mobiles.

Any first hand experience or links to guides would be highly appreciated. It's cheaper than going A64, which I may do anyway

don't quote me but I remember a few people being able to use mobile, unmodified, in dually boards. not sure how true this is however.

First link describes exactly what you're asking to do. Other two links are ones I was looking at earlier this week to consider making some of my existing chips into MPs. Hope that helps.

No, sorry, I haven't. You should really check out the 2cpu.com forums, the people there know way more than I do

Just be sure not to check out their distributed computing forum
