Hi all,

I know this isn't directly a DC question, but I am looking to cheaply upgrade the farm.
I've got my eyes on a Gigabyte Dually Socket A board, and I am wondering if I will be able to mod XP mobiles to work on this board, specifically the new 3000+ Barton mobiles.

Any first hand experience or links to guides would be highly appreciated. It's cheaper than going A64, which I may do anyway :D

don't quote me but I remember a few people being able to use mobile, unmodified, in dually boards. not sure how true this is however.

No, sorry, I haven't. You should really check out the 2cpu.com forums, the people there know way more than I do :)

Just be sure not to check out their distributed computing forum :D
