I have a rig I want to dualscreen with, but each monitor has different resolutions. (8800GTX single). Is there anyway?

You should be able to set the individual resolutions under display settings. I've never tried a dual setup using nvidia cards, but I believe that there is a utility called nview or dualview in the nvidia software that will do this as well...

And be sure to download and try the 30 day of Ultramon as well... great software..

Of course, dual view. Easy peasy.

I have 1280x1024 LCD and run my CRT at 1600x1200.

Ok, I got it to work. Anyway for me to browse the internet while playing a game without the other application cutting out on me??

I've found that some games don't like having dual screens enabled. Quake Wars and Call of Duty 1 in particular don't run very well with a second monitor enabled. Everything will be jerky.

Yeah, you would have to put the game in Windowed mode. I play WoW among other games and browse the internet at the same time.

Ok did, that it worked, problem is that the scaling is way off, the blue border that is at the top with the minimiz, and etc is taking screenspace :p

You can set the options for "single display" mode inside the NV control panel.

anyone know how I can make the windows taskbar move onto my secondary? I want my primary just blank.

nvm, just dragged it across haha

Alright, a bit of a spin-off of the OP question, but still very much on-topic.

How about the same thing (two monitors with different rezes) to display the same thing? (nvidia cloneview for instance, but with separate resolutions for each display)

I swear there was a way to basically mirror the first monitor while having two set up individually, but I'm not able to check at the moment.

I have a 20" and a 17" off my GTX.

For displaying the same thing it'll work but the screen wont all be shown usually the area around the mouse will be show in the screen, so you will have it all just not all at once.

Or the other way then the larger one will have a smaller res through it.

Yeah, it'll vary from game to game. Some games give you the option to maximize in windowed mode, making it look like full screen without the title bar etc.

I took down my one monitor because a friend needed one. When I get it back, I'll have to check this out because I had to disable the monitor to play games, and then reenable it once I got out of the game.
